advo-friendly egg muffins

I'm starting off a 4-day weekend today 
and decided to make a batch of these guys 
for a quick, easy breakfast option!

these egg muffins are great for three reasons:
they're clean
they're easy
they're quick

even better?
you can freeze them 
and just throw them in the microwave whenever you want some!
packed with protein and veggies, 
these are the epitome of an advo-friendly breakfast!


7 organic eggs
10 egg whites
veggies of your choice 
(i used onion, red peppers and spinach)
fresh ground black pepper

preheat your oven to 350
spray a muffin tin with olive oil or spread coconut oil in each cup
put some chopped veggies in each cup
mix your eggs, egg whites and pepper then pour in each cup (about 3/4 full)
bake 15-20 or until puffy and fully cooked

of the 24-day challenge,

not your average cleanse...

the number one question i get lately is, 
"wait!  you EAT on a cleanse?!?!!"
well yes, we do, 
but this is not your average cleanse.

we're currently on day 8 of the challenge 
and to say we're feeling amazing 
is the understatement of the century!
but yes, we're feeling amazing :)

what is the 24-day challenge, you ask?
its a comprehensive program that helps with 
weight management, energy and overall wellness.

the first 10 days are about cleansing.
when i say cleanse, 
you're probably thinking about sitting on a toilet all day long,
WRONG.
this is not that kind of cleanse.
when i say cleanse, 
you're probably not thinking about eating five meals a day, 
well you should be!
the cleanse phase 
along with a healthy diet and exercise
helps to rid your body of toxins 
and prepares your body to better absorb nutrients.

now days 11-24 are all about maintaining.
how many times have you tried some trendy diet, 
lost a ton of weight only to gain it all back a week later?
not with this.
the second part of the challenge or "max phase" 
is about fueling your body to achieve the best results.

ok, so you're probably bored of hearing me blab about the program
when what you really want to hear are the results!
well, for me, i'm on day 8 and i'm down 7lbs.
i'm feeling great, sleeping well and my skin is glowing.
i'm eating healthy foods and losing the urge to eat junk!

and for our awesome instagram followers, here's the whole chicken in a crockpot recipe!

4-5lb whole chicken
lemons, onions, garlic, rosemary, thyme (pretty much whatever you want to stuff it with)

rinse chicken well and pat dry.
stuff with whatever you'd like.
place the chicken in the crockpot, breast side down 
crack fresh pepper on top.
cook on low 8hrs, or if you're in a rush high 4.5hrs

voila! your own, clean, healthy chicken!
i make one every sunday and portion it out for quick lunches.
